Rider Alert: Bay to Breakers (B2B) Marathon impacts San Francisco Service

Attention Amtrak San Joaquin Customers

The annual Bay to Breakers marathon will take place on Sunday, May 19. Streets will be closed and service to San Francisco at 401 Mission Street will be temporarily suspended starting Saturday, May 18 from 7:00 PM until Sunday, May 19 at 12:00 PM.

 

Street closures

The marathon will encompass a lucrative route and will cause various street closures around the city during the listed times.

 

Service impacts

The event will cause major delays and reroutes. Amtrak customers may travel to and from:

  • Richmond, CA or Oakland Coliseum and may connect with BART service to or from San Francisco.
  • San Jose, CA and may connect to Caltrain service to or from San Francisco.
