Service Alert: Track Improvements – February 23 – 24.

Amtrak Operating Plan:

To accommodate the infrastructure work, Amtrak San Joaquin Service will be adjusted as follows:

SOUTH

• Train 714(23Feb), which normally operates between OKJ and BFD, will terminate at FNO.
• Train 716(23Feb), which normally operates between OKJ and BFD, will terminate at FNO.
• Train 718(23Feb), which normally operates between OKJ and BFD, will terminate at FNO.

NORTH

• Train 719(23Feb), which normally operates between BFD and OKJ, will originate at FNO.
• Train 703(23Feb), which normally operates between BFD and SAC, will originate at FNO.
• Train 711(24Feb), which normally operates between BFD and OKJ, will originate at FNO.

ALTERNATE TRANSPORTATION

• Buses 4314, 4316, and 4318 (23Feb) will provide alternate transportation between Fresno (FNO) and Bakersfield (BFD) with an intermediate stop at Hanford (HNF).
• Buses 4319 and 4303 (23Feb) will provide alternate transportation between Bakersfield (BFD) and Fresno (FNO) with an intermediate stop at Hanford (HNF).
• Bus 4311 (24Feb) will provide alternate transportation between Bakersfield (BFD) and Fresno (FNO) with an intermediate stop at Hanford (HNF).
• No alternate service will be provided at Corcoran (COC) or Wasco (WAC).

 

• Bus 5818(23Feb), the 11:59pm departure from Bakersfield (BFD) to San Diego  (SAN), will be renumbered as Bus 5868 (24Feb) due to new departure time after midnight holding for Bus 4318.

 

EQUIPMENT

• Train 714(23Feb) will make a same-day turn at Fresno (FNO) to Train 719(23Feb)
• Train 716(23Feb) will make a same-day turn at Fresno (FNO) to Train 703(23Feb)
• Train 718(23Feb) will store overnight in Fresno/Calwa to turn for Train 711(24Feb) at Fresno (FNO).
