Hispanic Heritage Month is a national celebration held annually from September 15th to October 15th where we recognize and celebrate the rich history, vibrant culture, and important contributions made by Hispanic and Latino Americans. The commencement date of September 15th marks the anniversary of Independence for countries including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua followed by the Independence of Mexico on September 16th and the Independence of Chile on September 18th.

Latino Center of Art & Culture (Sacramento)

Artes Americas (Fresno)

Los Cenzontles Cultural Arts Academy (Richmond)
A hub for Latino artists, this music academy and community space hosts arts and cultural events to amplify Mexican heritage in the Bay Area and beyond. Los Cenzontles is also a band who performs regularly and teaches hundreds of local youth in traditional Mexican music, dance, arts, and crafts in preservation of the culture.
