SAN FRANCICO CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL

1610 Geary Blvd | April 9-10, 16-17 | 11:00 - 6:00 PM

Come out and celebrate Japanese culture at the 55th Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival in San Francisco April 9th-10th and April 16th-17th from 11-6pm! Watch amazing Japanese cultural performances, walk through the streets of one of America's largest Japantowns, appreciate traditional art and music, and enjoy tasty and unique Japanese food. Visit Gold Runner, a proud sponsor of this year's festival, at our festival booth at the lively Street Fair, held around Peace Plaza, Post Street, and Webster Street in the heart of Japantown.

Following World War Two, Japanese Americans and Japanese resettled in San Francisco's Japantown, one of the three remaining original Japantowns in the United States, and started the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival as a way to preserve traditions, revitalize the local economy, and strengthen the bonds of friendship between the United States and Japan. Since then, the festival has grown immensely in scope to accommodate more than 200,000 visitors annually. This festival is now one of the largest and most famous cherry blossom festivals outside of Japan, second only to Washington D.C.

Experience Japanese cultural performances, traditional arts, and food in a large-scale festival atmosphere. Over its two-week festivities, the festival also offers the opportunity to look back at the history of Japanese Americans and Japanese in the area and enjoy the culture and customs that have survived thanks to the hardships of multiple generations.

Let Gold Runner get you to the festival at a reduced cost.
