Restrictions

• Gold Runner travelers 62 years of age and over are eligible to receive a 15% discount.
• The senior discount is not valid for travel on certain Amtrak Thruway connecting services.

Age: Under 2

• Kids and infants must be accompanied by at least one adult (18+) on the same reservation. Kids under 2 years occupying a separate coach seat will be charged the fare for Kids aged 2-12 years.

Age: 2 - 12

• Kids 2-12 years of age may not travel unaccompanied.

Age: 13 and over

• All persons 13 years of age or older, and all unaccompanied minors, pay adult fares.

Age: 16 and over

• Children 16 and over may travel without restriction.
• Exception: A minor who is 16 or 17, who is a parent to children of any age, may bring those children without restriction. The 16- or 17-year-old must bring proof that he or she is the parent of the children.

Unaccompanied Minors

Restrictions

• If a group of children are traveling, and some are 16-17, some are 13-15, and some are under 13: The 16-17 year olds may travel without restriction. The 13-15 year olds must travel as unaccompanied minors because no one is 18 or over. The Unaccompanied Minor Policy applies. The children under 13 may not travel because no one is 18 or over. The Unaccompanied Minor Policy applies.

Active Military and Veterans

• With valid active-duty United States Armed Forces identification cards, active-duty US military personnel, their spouses and their dependents are eligible to receive a 15% discount.
• The military discount may not be combinable with other discount offers; refer to the terms and conditions for each offer.
• Additional restrictions may apply.

Military Child

• Dependent children (ages 2-12) of active-duty US military personnel are eligible to receive one-half the Adult Military fare. The person accompanying the dependent child does not have to be a person traveling at the military fare.
• You must present a valid active-duty United States Armed Forces identification card.

Passenger with Disability - Adult

• You must provide written documentation of your disability at the ticket counter and when boarding the train. Acceptable documentation includes:
• Transit system ID card for persons with a disability
• Membership card from a disability organization
• Letter from a physician
• Medicare card, if under 65
• Veteran's Administration ID with “Service Connected”
• Disabled/Accessible parking placard issued by a state Department of Motor Vehicle (photocopy is acceptable).
