October is Global Diversity Awareness Month and Here Are Four Fun Ways to Celebrate

At Gold Runner we are committed to creating an inclusive environment for both our riders and employees. The Gold Runner corridor runs through the heart of California, an area that is incredibly culturally diverse, with more than 70 ethnicities and 105 languages represented. From Bakersfield to Sacramento to the Bay Area, we are proud to provide an excellent transportation service, connecting all residents and visitors to this region.

LEARN ABOUT A NEW COUNTRY AND ITS CULTURE

Global travel may be limited right now, but there are endless resources available online, where you can immerse yourself in information about various countries and cultures from around the world. With 7.8 billion people, thousands of religions, thousands of languages, 193 countries on seven continents, there is simply no limit to how much you can learn. In addition to online resources, sometimes a book can spark your imagination. Throughout the corridor, many local libraries are offering curbside pickup and returns. Here are a few:

LEARN TO SAY "HELLO" IN A DIFFERENT LANGUAGE

Did you know there are more than 6,500 languages spoken around the world? This number is constantly in flux with new languages being discovered. Though only 40% of the languages are now endangered, with only 23 accounted languages for the world's populations. Asia is home to the most indigenous languages, followed by Africa. Gold Runner to Run Special Trains to Colonel Allensworth State Historic Park for 2026 Black History Month Celebration, February 7

(February 2, Stockton, CA) – In honor of Black History Month, Gold Runner will run special trains to Colonel Allensworth State Historic Park for its 2026 Black History Month Festival. The event will take place Saturday, February 7, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM and concluding at 4:00 PM. Gold Runner has scheduled a special stop at the park for multiple trains, bookable at exclusive half-price “Allensworth fares.”
